Practice Overview

Yuma Psychological Services (YPS) provides secure, HIPAA-compliant virtual therapy for teens and adults throughout Arizona. You do not need to live in Yuma to access care.

Our telehealth services are delivered through a confidential, encrypted platform that meets federal privacy standards, ensuring your privacy while receiving structured, evidence-based treatment. Virtual therapy offers flexibility and accessibility without compromising clinical quality or effectiveness.

We support adolescents and adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma-related concerns, stress, relationship challenges, academic pressure, and life transitions. Many of our clients are high-functioning individuals who feel overwhelmed or stuck in patterns they want to change. Sessions are interactive, goal-oriented, and focused on measurable progress.

In addition to telehealth services statewide, we offer in-person therapy in Yuma for young children and families requiring developmentally appropriate behavioral and emotional support.

Accessible across Arizona. Grounded in clinical integrity.

How We Help

At YPS, treatment is structured, collaborative, and grounded in evidence-based practice.

Virtual therapy for teens and adults integrates cognitive-behavioral strategies, trauma-informed care, and emotional regulation skill-building tailored to individual goals. We prioritize clear treatment planning and practical tools that clients can apply in daily life.

For young children and families seen in person, services focus on behavioral stabilization, developmental support, and caregiver collaboration. Interventions are hands-on, developmentally appropriate, and designed to strengthen long-term functioning at home and school.

Our goal is not only symptom relief, but sustainable growth and resilience.

Staff Qualifications

All YPS clinicians hold a master’s degree in a behavioral health discipline. Licensed associate-level providers practice under required supervision by Dr. Carolina Prieto, licensed psychologist and clinical director, in accordance with Arizona Board regulations.

We prioritize ethical standards, ongoing supervision, and consistent, high-quality clinical care across our practice.
